Troy P. AlbrightTroy P. Albright is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta in-town office. He has represented clients at the Georgia Innocence Project, a non-profit organization that utilizes DNA evidence to either exonerate the wrongly convicted or confirm the guilt of an imprisoned individual. He has worked alongside the Dekalb County Public Defender’s Office, ensuring that impoverished individuals received fair representation in Court. Prior to joining Albright, Houtsma & Clark, LLC, Troy was an associate at Kevin A. Adamson, P.C., a civil litigation firm. Troy provided representation in diverse civil litigation cases including medical malpractice, consumer protection, contract negotiation, general litigation and mediation. Most recently his practice has expanded to include real estate transactions and bankruptcies. Troy received his B.A. degree in Human Resources / Organizational Behavior from the University of Pittsburgh, and his J.D. degree from Georgia State College of Law. |
David V. HoutsmaDavid V. Houtsma is a partner in the firm’s North Atlanta office. His transactional practice oversees all aspects of real estate transactions, with commercial and residential, development and leasing, domestic and international experience. David is an experienced lender’s counsel, and a buyer’s and seller’s general counsel in residential, commercial and SBA transactions. He regularly represents Fortune 500 companies and locally based businesses. In addition to real estate matters, he has extensive negotiation and contract experience with expertise in both non-profit and international issues. He has advised corporations and individuals on personal and tax donation issues; software licensing, media and technology issues; and numerous employment contractual issues as they pertain to Georgia and other states. David received his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Christian Life International Bible College as Valedictorian, and his J.D. degree from the Georgia State College of Law. |
Aaron M. ClarkAaron M. Clark is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office. He has represented clients ranging from small start-up companies to multi-national corporations on a broad spectrum of matters including tort litigation, constitutional law litigation, and class action lawsuits. Prior to joining Albright, Houtsma & Clark, LLC, Aaron was a litigation associate with the firm of Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell, LLP (formerly Lord, Bissell & Brook, LLP). As an associate he advised and represented publicly traded and privately held businesses throughout the United States and internationally in complex business litigation, as well as contractual and intellectual property matters. Aaron handled a number of matters relating to class actions, intellectual property, patents and business technology, securities, banking and finance, partnership shareholder and joint venture disputes, real estate, and insurance and reinsurance. Aaron also has an extensive background in criminal litigation. He has represented clients in both state and federal court in Georgia, and has experience with matters such as RICO offenses, federal racketeering offenses, drug trafficking, and a variety of more violent crimes. Aaron received his B.A. degree, with highest honors, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Georgia State College of Law. |
M. Patrick CallahanPatrick serves as Of Counsel to Albright, Houtsma & Clark, LLC and practices in the areas of general business representation and transactional services and estate planning and probate services. Prior to joining Albright, Houtsma & Clark, LLC, Patrick’s worked for the boutique business and estate planning law firm of Menden, Freiman & Zitron, LLP and provided international tax consulting services with Deloitte & Touche in Washington, DC and Atlanta. Patrick represents and advises privately held companies in all stages of the business life cycle from the entity formation stage through operational issues and business expansion to the sale of the business or its transition to the next generation of owners or managers. His practice involves advising clients on asset protection planning, transactional matters including mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, and a wide array of contract matters relating to business governance, employment, intellectual property protection, non-competes and other restrictive covenants, and business succession. Patrick also provides a range of estate and trust planning services to individuals at various age, income and net worth levels. He regularly advises clients with foundational estate planning issues and works with high net worth clients on the appropriate use of advanced estate planning techniques such as revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and family limited partnerships. Patrick serves on the board of an Atlanta-based charitable foundation called For Pete’s Sake Foundation which assists families of children with rare diseases. Patrick is an Atlanta native and graduated from the Marist School. He received his Bachelors of Arts in International Economics and Finance, magna cum laude, from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and his Juris Doctor from the Georgia State College of Law where he received awards for his studies in Business Planning and International Business Transactions. Patrick is a member of the Georgia Bar. |
